Mark started his new post as the College of Arts & Science’s Vice Dean of General Education. In this position, Mark is Director of the College Core Curriculum and leads other aspects of liberal arts education in the College.

Kerry’s paper investigating pleiotropy, by analyzing correlations between morphological traits in hundreds of thousands of individual yeast cells, has been published in PLOS Biology.

A great consortium effort led by Gavin Rice, standardizing and illustrating male genital morphology in Drosophila melanogaster, has been published in Fly. 

Mark is co-organizing (with Trisha Wittkopp, Olivier Tenaillon and Angela Hay) the third Evolutionary Systems Biology conference at the Wellcome Genome Campus in Hinxton, UK.

Paper on evolution of gene networks by Kun Xiong in Joanna Masel’s lab has been published in Nature Communications.

Shuang’s paper on the genetic basis of cell-to-cell heterogeneity in growth rate and acute-stress tolerance has been published in PLOS Genetics.
